India Trio Ruled Out Of England Test Series

Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar and Avesh Khan are injured, and so will play no part in the upcoming  5 match test series against England.

Gill sustained a shin injury during India's loss in the World Test Championship final, and has since returned home to India.

Washington Sundar will not play due to having an injured finger, while fast bowler Avesh Khan fractured his thumb during India's warm-up match versus the First Class Counties Select XI.

Unlucky for Gill, Sundar and Khan? Yes.

Ask Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav, who have been named as replacements, and they might give a different answer.

Both have been poached from the white-ball squad currently playing away against Sri Lanka.
